Siya Saraswat

Clinical Research Coordinator

Siya is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Eldaief Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital and collaborates with the Buckner Lab at Harvard University. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2026 with a B.S. in psychology and neuroscience and a minor in chemistry. As an undergraduate, she worked at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital as a Student Behavioral Associate, where she developed an interest in clinical treatments in neuropsychiatric settings. At Pitt’s Learning Research and Development Center’s (LRDC’s) Mind and Brain Lab, she completed her honors thesis, which aimed to establish proof-of-concept for a novel finger-based intervention treating post-stroke acalculia and support a future grant application. Alongside her research, Siya worked as an executive board member in Pitt’s Student Government Board, where her initiatives revolved around increasing accessibility to mental health resources on campus, and participated in Pitt’s Global Health Case Study Competition, which addressed mental health outcomes in Madagascar. These combined experiences helped her develop an interest in individual differences in functional neuroanatomy alongside a passion for the impact of culture on mental health stigmatization. Specifically, she is curious about the relationship between brain regions associated with higher-order function and neurological and psychopathological disorders. Siya hopes to pursue graduate studies in Cognitive Neuroscience or Clinical Psychology.
