Rachel Lemley

Research Assistant

Rachel was a Research Assistant in the Buckner Laboratory. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2023 with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Bioethics. As an undergraduate, she assisted in applied behavioral analysis therapy in children with comorbid autism and depression through the Supportive Transformative Autism Research Initiative. She also researched the neuromechanics of aggression in Prairie Voles at the Connelly Lab and was an assistant teacher for Laboratory Psychobiology. Additionally, she worked as a firefighter/EMT at Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department and as a Patient Technician at the University of Virginia's Medical Center. She is interested in the idiosyncratic nature of neurodegenerative diseases, like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, and moved on to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience at Dartmouth University.
