Yiren is a postdoctoral fellow in the Buckner Lab. She received her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research uses neuroimaging methods and computational modeling to investigate how the human brain learns and remembers. Her doctoral works examined how cross-modal contexts, particularly music, modulate hippocampal-cortical network dynamics during learning and memory formation. She is interested in understanding how brain networks differ across individuals and age groups, and how this knowledge can inform interventions (e.g., music therapy) to support memory and emotional well-being in both healthy and aging populations.
