Jingnan is a postdoctoral fellow in the Buckner lab, where he studies how higher-order cognitive functions are organized in the human association cortex. By combining precision neuroimaging with novel computational approaches, he recently explored the detailed organization of individual brains and discovered a novel topographic feature of the association cortex: parallel networks arranged in side-by-side juxtapositions, repeating across multiple association zones. These repeated zones link to at least three domain-specialized parallel networks that support language, social behaviors, and spatial/episodic processing. Additionally, he developed a new 15-network parcellation of the cerebral cortex, DU15NET, which is publicly available at: [https://freesurfer.net/fswiki/CorticalParcellation\_DU15NET](https://freesurfer.net/fswiki/CorticalParcellation_DU15NET). Before joining the Buckner lab as a postdoc, Jingnan completed his PhD at Fudan University, where he worked with Dr. Jianfeng Feng, spending his final two years as a visiting PhD student in Dr. Randy Buckner’s lab at Harvard University.
