Heather was a postdoctoral fellow in the Buckner Lab. Her work in the Buckner Lab was focused on how networks associated with the ventral tegmental area and ventral striatum function and interact with networks that span association cortices. As a Ph.D. student, she studied infant brain function using fMRI at MIT with Rebecca Saxe and Nancy Kanwisher. In the future, she hopes to combine her pre-doctoral training with her post-doctoral training to better understand the origins of the human mind. After her post-doctoral work in the Buckner Lab she went on to USC to launch her own laboratory in the Department of Psychology.
